I'll try to post some photos later, but I've just had some damage to the Marauder. I went to lunch at a local Jersey Mike's and parked in a shopping center lot - away from the majority of cars like I usually do. I didn't notice anything when I got back to the car, but on the way back when I turned on the right turn signal, it was blinking faster than normal, so I assumed I had a bulb that needed replacing. I get back to work though, and the passenger's side side marker is broken and the headlight is pushed back a bit. I can't imagine a vehicle hitting that high up and just damaging the headlight and side marker they way it did. It makes me think it may have been intentional... :mad2: Looks like I'm going to need at least a side marker... Fortunately, it doesn't look like the bumper cover is damaged and it's barely scratched.
Anyway, already been on the phone with insurance, but that's a hell of a way to start the holiday weekend.

Yea sounds like a hate crime to me. Best way to park is away from other cars yet in close public sight. Parking away from cars but in hidden view is just as bad as parking next to cars if not worst. Especially if you have a nice car! Same thing happens to my wife's car and that was a Honda. Also nc sc is home of the crown Vic. If they can't steal it they will hate on it!!

I always park away from everyone, bu the area was pretty busy today. I guess could have been a trailer hitch, but I don't know.... After cooling down a bit, I'm thankful it wasn't worse.

small claims may not be worth involving insurance..deductible? etc..If there is a 2nd event sometime, your rates will jump.
Sorry to hear of the situation

See if there are security cameras pointing where you parked it. Might get lucky and see what happened.

No deductible with Hagerty's which is nice. There's no apparent damage to the bumper cover, fender or header panel surprisingly. I'm not sure about the area behind the headlight and side marker though. It could have been a lot worse.
But, here's the damage...

That wasn't intentional, that was caused by an suv , or pick up, i cannot tell you how many times that exact same damage happened to my patrol vehicle.

your header panel is most likely damaged from the headlight mounts being broken.
That will be a deal breaker from an easy 2 light fix.
Do yourself a HUGE favor, if you need a header panel, find a nice used one from a Grand Marquis or Marauder.
Aftermerket ones fit horribly.
Sorry to see.
As MOTOWN said, easy to get hit above the bumper, by accident.

But... It looks like it could have easily been much much worse real quickly. Scuffed top of bumper, Digned QPanel/fender... Heck, even the hood corner was in play.
Sorry to hear of this. We all feel your pain. Car will feel better when it gets to Las Vegas Marauderville!

You actually got quite lucky that the damage was constrained to the light. But yeah, that still sucks.

No doubt. It could have easily been a lot worse, but it's still a PITA to deal with.

Aftermerket ones fit horribly.I got mine from tascaparts.com. New OEM Ford. It was like $314 (IIRC) plus shipping, but it fit perfectly.
I do agree that used is better than most aftermarket.

It will definitely be Ford, whether OEM or used. When I got the estimate yesterday, a new one was available though. The header panel needed replacing anyway since a chunk was knocked off of it a couple of months ago.
