Wanted Tranny for 2004 Marauder

My 2004 Marauder 165,888 Miles sadly had WATER in the Tranny system. I think it occurred because the Dip stick was not FULLY put in tight and water got it. Stick IS RUSTY. So the shop Did a service and hope most of the water got out. But damage WAS done. Some metal shavings so they recommend a rebuild of MY tranny $2300.00 Looking to get a good tranny from a wrecked 04 or a tranny someone has for sale. It is shifting okay now so maybe I can get a bit more time out of the tranny

If its shifting fine you probably have nothing to worry about.

When the did a test drive, they found nothing wrong with the shifting of the Tranny But they DID find water in the pan, stick rusty. So I hope that things will be okay for the foreseeable future.. If not a rebuild or getting a good tranny from another Marauder. I DO get a slight slipping when starting from a stop intermittently or when going from 20mpg to 25mpg

I'd try changing the fluid & filter again.

I did have them put in Mercon V SYNTHETIC and new pan
