Talk about a cheesy Grand Marquis. The car looks good but exhaust tips and a spoiler don't make it a marauder. What really gets me is the marauder on the rear bumper. lol http://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/5222365291.html

Tips are too short & stick out too much. It's a nice car, especially with the 18" Rustang rims, but it's not worth anywhere near that. There's an '05 Marquis by me that somebody did the same thing. I'll try & find it.

All '03 Marauders are Grand Marquis. Babcock and his gang forgot to registrar the Marauder in a timely fashion to make them a stand alone car til '04.

While not crazy about that particular car, I always thought I'd like a nice all white Marauder.

My old '03 GM GS. People thought it was a Marauder and I hated that, haha. Feels better to say My car now is one!

While it looks like a nice well-maintained car, someone needs to tell the owner that those are NOT Marauder rims and NOT Marauder exhaust tips.
One would think if he was going to put "Marauder" on the rear bumper, he would have removed the Grand Marquis badge right above it...
Still, some poor schmuck will buy that car and think he's gotten a Marauder for cheap...

It is good to know so many things are FULLY FUNCTIONAL. Wonder if the tranny fluid was ever changed?

The Marauder in the ad is a Marauder with the chrome package. The mouldings give it away.

"cosmetically enhanced to evoke the great Mercury Marauder" with a Marauder sticker that isn't even on straight. It cracks me up when these guys write up stuff about their car and think that everyone is as dumb as them.

Mustangs also had those wheels btw so that's no excuse to think it's a Marauder.

I've never understood the point of this. It never once occurred to me to stick Marauder stickers on my Crown Vic. I mean, if you want to put Marauder wheels, or parts on, fine, but don't claim it's something it's not.

140+K miles and a lot of BS listing doesn't make that car close to $5K.
It looks pretty decent though!

Just FYI: According to Steve Babcock, Ford didn't get the paperwork in on time, so the 2003 is, technically, a "Grand Marquis Marauder." Only the 2004s are "Marauders."

This ^^^^^^ is NOT a true statement. In 2004, the VIN was changed to "M79" which is Marauder specific. The '03 MM shared the "M75" designation with the Grand Marquis. You could still ID the Marauder from the "V" engine code for the 4.6L DOHC. If your dealer still identifies your car as a Grand Marquis, it is time to find another dealer.

I understood making a FauxRauder back in the day when they were new and retailed for $30,000+....
A lot of Marauder fans couldn't swallow that kind of car payment.
But used Marauders are now dirt cheap and still relatively plentiful.
Why put all that money into a trying to make a CV or GM look like a Marauder..??
Just go buy a REAL Marauder!

It's sitting at a park and sell in Huntsville Al. I saw it when I drove through looking at an Impala SS. I didn't even get out and look at it. And shouldn't have gotten out and looked at the SS.

The Godshead center cap wheels are unique to the Marauder. The Mustang looks nothing like a Marauder so no one will make that mistake. Take it easy.

The Mustang wheels have a different hole size for the center cap. Marauder caps will not sit flush in the Mustang wheel. Not sure if the Mustang wheel was forged either.

Mustang wheels have the same size hole for the center cap , it just has a different offset recess pushing the cap out a tad , and the Mustang wheels are forged as well.

This is getting way too technical. All I'm saying is that they look alike.

I guess to look parts up, they have to go to Grand Marquis then Marauder, as I found out when the guy at the Ford dealership couldn't find Marauder in their system.
