Nitto Motivo are available in P235/50-18 and P245/55-18. Excellent tire for OEM spec factory original cars! Mud snow rated for daily drivers.

I have been running for over a year, great all season tires. Did good on Tail of the Dragon run, also a run thru NW New Jersey.

Good to know. It's getting really hard to find the OEM tires for the wife's car. I think I have one more set in the garage.

Nitto is made in the USA! Paid $152.00 for the front and $160.00 for the rear with free shipping and no sales tax on eBay with further $20.00 off per tire discount from eBay using paypal. Not cheap but I also still have new BF Goodrich KDWS g-Force which are even more money. Rear BF Goodrich last manufactured in 2009. Goodrich/Michelin have not helped me yet I still buy them for my wife's Wrangler and Z06 Vette. I kill rear tires fast but I think Nitto will last longer. My son finished g-force rear tires in 1 year/9K miles.

They also make a 255/55zr18, it makes the car look a little tougher and doesn't mess with the traction control. I'm on my second set of rears and soon third set of fronts, awesome tire!!!! I just wish I could get someone to do a proper alignment to eliminate the inner tire wear. I'm about to tell the next alignment guy to put in half a degree of positive camber.

I have outside tire wear in front, not inner.
I've increased front tire to 38psi and 40psi rear.

That doesn't sound right. The only time I ever had front tire wear issues was with the factory toe-out alignment, which was corrected shortly after buying the car.

For years since then I have run 0 to -0.1 degrees toe-in and -0.5 degree camber, both before and after a suspension rebuild (with SPC camber bolts). The front tires wear perfectly even and the modest negative camber does wonders for cornering.

I would suspect toe out and/or worn suspension parts. Worn parts can become toe out after the car leaves the alignment rack.

FYI changed rear wheel bearing seal yesterday and inspected B.F. Goodrich KDWS g-Force P245/55-18 tires made in 2009. Close examination shows small cracks in the rubber between tread blocks. These tires have less then 5k miles on them. In my opinion 6 year old tires should not be on the car due to safety reasons. These tires were purchased new but they do have a shelf life which should be respected. Tires have dates stamped on side walls. Degraded rubber should be for show only not daily driver. Nittos go into service sooner then later.

I have the same issue with the beginnings of dry rot on the SB front BFG's. Not many miles on them either. I will be getting Motivo's to match the rears over the Winter.

Do you have pictures of these on your car?

Read my mind. I had great looking KDWS tires, and they were 8 and 9 years old.

Started checking into it, and found that Mercedes only gives any tire (and they use Michilin mostly) a 6 year shelf life, from date of manufacture -- not first day of use. I think last year (or maybe year before) it became manditiry for tire sellers to show the born date/manufacture date of EACH TIRE on the sales receipt. Sucks for me as I bought some KDWS and two of the tires (after I researched all of this) were 2 years old BEFORE I bought them.

Here is one! Nice Wheels!

Just kidding. Look in the Marauderville XIII photo thread. There are a few great photos of my silver (in the dessert) with the Motivos 255 on rear. They are high res, and can be enlarged.

Sorry I cannot post photo in this thread as I am on vacation, and don't have them here.
