So I talked to a guy over at Be Cool today about having them custom build a Radiator and Fan Assembly for my S/C 300A. He said they'd need a core to build off of, and it would be around $1.5K to have it built. So I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this. Before I pull the trigger on this mod...

Stay away from these guys, I once got a radiator from them for my Chevrolet that I had at the time, it did not fit right, had to have them send me another radiator. The engine did not run any cooler versus the OEM radiator.

These guys make a lot of claims that they cannot back up, they are a small outfit. All you will be doing is over spending for nothing, there $600.00 radiator for my car was no better than the $100.00 OEM, this was about 20 years ago.

This ^^

I think more than one person on this forum has found a way to upgrade the radiator in a bolt-in fashion without resorting to custom-building the thing from scratch.

That said, I have hauled an extra 2,000+ lbs uphill at 70 mph in 100 degree weather and the temps stayed good. Stock engine with an added transmission cooler.

What is you set up and why do you need a custom Rad?

There are several fan assemblies such as Flex-a-lite and Motown also has another brand that will probably work.

I'm going to be in the 750 to 800HP range when it's all said and done. And I just figured I would need a heavy duty radiator to handle the extra HP. I've talked to Motown about it. He's giving me a few options that I didn't know about. He also said he has custom fans from Be Cool on his SB that cost him a small fortune.

I myself, don't really care about the cash end of it. I just want something that I can put faith in. It's the little things that help me sleep better at night! [emoji42][emoji99] [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

built correctly, high horsepower should not create increased engine temps.
Been to 700 myself, retaining stock rad, fans and water pump.
I'm not asking for a reply, but, consider what would be generating any extra under hood heat, and try to build that out....

At $1,500 for a radiator...I'd say that the only thing they are dissipating quickly is money from YOUR wallet!

in 93-02 f-body cars, every guy that bought cool, aftermarket cooling parts, went back to stock and sold the cool fans and radiator
some had results from a high flow water pump..and lower t-stat.
don't buy nything until you run the new set up with stock cooling
It will likely be fine...my plan anyway.

Becool uses Spal fans which are the best you can buy, yes Becool is , and has always been overpriced.
