Im taking my car in for engine ticking, tirer wear, and speaker tray rattling. However i dont know what my dealers stance is on mods, see my sig for what i have done. Should I put my car back to stock setting for the techs and just hope they dont notice the speedo is 10 mph off or do i leave the tuning installed and pray they dont reflash/ deny me service. Thanks. (nothing i can do aobut it being lowered)

I would reset your computer to stock. Also are the underdrivers look OEM, or do they look after market?

You shouldn't have any problems. DO reflash your computer back to stock. If they're going to diagnose the tick, they'll get rather annoyed at finding the superchips program in there. Definately remove it.
Everything else you've done should be irrelevant. No worries.

Any chance of talking to the service manager, anonymously till you find out his stance on mods, or under a fictitious name........sounds cloak and dagger but kinda worth the trouble. I beat around the bush on the phone till my service manager offered to install my mods.....all are different.
Good luck....:)

The whole gist of it is simply, if the mod you've done isn't in their way or staring them in the face and has nothing to do with why the car is there 99.9% of the time they could care less.

This is good advice. I have a good relationship with the service manager and the tech that works on my car. The main guy...not...but they are flexible with what I have done, and the tech is totally in the loop.
Mine is currently in the shop the the infamous 'tick'. This visit is to get the ball rolling, make the call to CS, and get a plan of action that includes all neccesary parts into their possesion before the work is scheduled and performed.
PhkinQk's post just reminded me to call them and remind...no flashes.:nono:
Been chipless for nearly 2 months, and the backup is on a floppy.

Let's see at 14k I have the "tick", front spring squeek, A/C clutch squeek and the 2nd worst paint job, next to BigDogJim's car that is........but still when it's clean and shinny it looks so good, it's BAD.

Well just got back, there is no warranty under bumper to bumper or BFG. A Ford Factory rep is supposed to be in tommorrow and my service advisor is going to give him the stuff I have printed off of this board concerning the same tire problem, but I doubt it will do any good. Needless to say im pissed becuase I DONT hot rod and drive the hell out of the car, 13 500 miles is too damn early for new tires. Even if everyone here that had this problem spoke out to ford or their dealers nothing would ocme off it as theres so few of us. They are taking care of everything else though.

LV...don't push the tire issue, you may blow a good relationship with your service advisors. Tires are not covered under the warranty, we all knew that. I mean aside from a manufacturer defect, a tire is expendable. I totally agree with you however, as with 15k on mine, they show considerable wear. So, I'm in the same boat, but I'm not gonna piss off my crew, cause I need the 'real' warranty items fixed and a good look the other way concerning my 'stuff'.

Well I am part of the 50% (blown off by the FORD REP) in regards to the ticking issue. They told my service manager that there is no fix for the problem yet.:bounce:
That sucks...I need to get names from folks that got this issue repaired and who they talked to at the customer service center.
