Hey all. Finally bought a Marauder two weeks ago. It's a silver 2004 with 128XXX on it. Its in pretty good shape but needs some work. It leaks oil from the oil filter area when I start it. The rear driver break rotor is warped and the CEL says the #5 cylinder has a misfire. I'm mostly clueless on the Marauder subject, but I'm sure I'll find the right info here. I plan on doing all the work myself.
Regards

Welcome...You just missed a Marauder gathering in Las Vegas in mid. Sept. but there are some other members out your way.
For your oil leak, look here

prolly time for a brake job
Cyl. 5 is most likely a bad COP (coil on plug)..You can check it by moving the cop to another cylinder to see if the code follows it to there.

I would recommend changing all fluids, oil, trans (use Mercon V) and rear end and coolant, make sure you follow the "burp" procedure for anytime you open the coolant system as an air bubble will casue it to overheat.

Welcome.

Right near you is a MOBIL ONE in ANTHEM... On here he goes by BigBossApplesauce--Mike in real life.

He has a sick black Marauder that warps time and space... if you need someone to work on your ride--He worked on mine when I first bought it.

Welcome aboard.

Swap the #5 coil pack and another one. If the misfire follows it the COP is bad. If not, take a look at the spark plugs and see how tired they are. If they have not been replaced in the 128,000 mile life of the car - do so now.

Thanks guys. I'm out of Tucson. And thanks for the information. Will definitely look into the links and try moving the coil. I was thinking of just doing a complete tune up, including coils and filters. Thanks again.
