Can anyone explain the pros and cons of a 4.10 rear end? My car came with a 4.10 and I never got a chance to drive a stock mm

do you like the way it drives? if so then learning about 3.55 gears is sort of pointless.It gets the car up into it's powerband much quicker since the car weighs in at 4200+ pounds. You will lose1.5-2 mpg or more if you drive it hard from stop signs, lights. hiway rpm will be around 2500 @ 70. They are kind of a dog off the line being stock with 3.55

According to the Marauder Program Manager for Ford, these cars were supposed to come with 3.73s or 4.10s from the factory, but was nixed by the bean counters for the gas-guzzler tax.

Con: very slight reduction in fuel economy on the highway.
Pros: way more smiles per gallon.

It should have come with 4.10's from the factory. I am sure the 3.55's were for fuel economy. You'd be underwhelmed if you drove one stock.

The 410s make the car spunky. With the stock gears it was a dog out of the gate unless beating on it. It was a nice change.

Actually this thread has not cleared all my concerns. Will 4.10 need a tune? Will 4.10 require more maintenance?
To avoid thread hijack, I'll start another.....
