I have seen where some say that S/W exhaust is not the greatest. Some in put from those that have used it.

I would stay far away from the exhaust system, it sounds terrible, and the fitment is the worst I've ever seen of any exhaust system, the muffler hangers are too short, it leaks at the slip fit joints , and from the X pipe back it just doesn't fit or line up correctly, the system needs to be re designed.

I can't say anything about fitment, but I'm with Motown, the sound is deffinately NOT my cup 'o tea!

Exact same thoughts. Get something custom done.

What are some full 3 inch options you guys recommend? And correct me if I'm wrong, but is S/W the only company that makes a full 3inch exhaust for our cars? I know kooks makes headers but to my knowledge not a full system.......

There are no aftermarket marauder full systems except SW. I believe kooks is up to muffler includes x pipe. Mine has kooks and would like to change to SW and an H pipe. 3 inch duals on stock will prolly lose power.

Yes, but the tail pipes are still 2 1/2".

Bob, you likely get the point = no SW
I'd shop local exhaust shops that do custom 2.5" maybe 3" work, mandrel bening a nice plus.

I have done some work that my buddy shop did and will just fit the headers to it. I got the off road pipes and had them send me the same flanges that are on the pipe they supplied. Just wanted to see what others think. What I have now is a great fit and sounds great.
Thanks all.

I have the FULL 3" SW exhaust... it sound great with Boost... engine & tranny can be installed & removed with headers on motor...( i have done it) Kooks can not do that... However, The full exhaust did take HOURS of work to hammer (adj) the pipes into perfect position... Even after I was done a year later a rear air bag blew on me due to pipe over rear being to close to the air bag... I since have used a block of wood & sledge to adj that portion of exhaust over a lil more... It caused my tips to move out of perfect alignment; but not by much... I have heard people not being able to get on vehicle properly at all... but I did... HOURS of work on a lift with 3 people & an airbag later... I only recommend if you have a lift, a few people to help & morals don't mind ALOT of cursing!
NOW that my full 3" is on the car & the kink's work'd out I do love it... & NO exhaust drone that the stock exhaust gives at certain RPM's & load's...

I'm curious how much better the fitment might be if someone were to use the SW Marauder headers and lead pipes with the 2.5" SW Vic/Gmarq exhaust. as other have mentioned, 3" is a tad overkill for most applications, and either way its not much difference between it switching to 2.5 for the tails or 2.5 at the lead pipes.

Here is what I had done a few months back. I am just going to make new tubs from the x pipe to the off road pipe. They did a really good job. Plus I still have some stainless tubing. It is all 2 1/4. Picture is in my photos. Not sure how to down load them to this post.

No matter what IMO the SW has the best Headers... Far as I know only u brand that can remain on engine during engine install & removal... I also be it to be the best performing... as far as other exhaust downstream... most important thing is High flow cat(s) & mufflers... & a nice X/H pipe... granted the stock marauder tips are pretty but I also have gotta to like the SW tip. .. But the old school Megs tips that had the rounded like OEM may be best option there... buy its all $...

Perhaps I look at life differently than most. I am the guy who orders a car and then that afternoon, I order all of the mods I will be installing, when that car arrives.
I installed my S-W complete system in an afternoon. Yes, there could have been some fit issues, but... I installed hangers in better places. Did I mention that I have a welder and know how to use it? I have purchased several different brand systems for my Mustangs, and all of them have issues. I found the S-W system for the Marauder to have the least problems. It was nothing that a little experience and a torch can't fix.
As for the sound... I don't want my exhaust to overwhelm my aftermarket stereo system. The S-W is fine. Just enough muscle sound, but not offensive to the ears. Maybe I have a different tastes, as I am 68, going on 17.

So what your saying is you had some fit issues, you had to get out your welder to add hangars, and you had to use your torch for a few problems?
Thanks for agreeing on the first few posts! [emoji6]
Just what I would expect from a slip fit system made to fit my car. Not.
BTW I have a half dozen welding certs and just about any tool you could imagine plus doubles. That doesn't mean I should have to use them when it should only take adjustable screw jacks and an impact...

Exactly! a system that cost over 1K ! It should fit like it was actually made for the car!

Can't argue with that logic.
