well ive been waiting all season to take the Merc to the track...some of you may know i had an issue last fall and broke a valve spring causing catastrophic failure........long story short...had a fresh motor built.....
not to rush into stuff i drove her and wanted to break her in good....i think i have only put on 1500 miles since the build and through shes ready to go!
got a call from a friend and said they had a local track in london rented for Friday and said Im in................
My brother and son and I made the trek 240 klms one way to the track....yes we drove our cars as they are street car... Not trailer queens......
we arrive just before noon and I taped up the rear quater panel to protect the paint...lol switched over the rear tires on the car....
ran 28x10x17 hoosier slicks on race stars......
thats the only change I made, 93 pump gas with just over half a tank.
Set up my brother car..... and i was ready to go.......
Here it is boys, though i would take it easy first pass and get a feel for her and first time on slicks with the Merc...normally i run drag radials....
10.96@126.05 with a 1.57 60ft
WOW!!!!! was I freaken happy!!!!!! first pass an she's already in the 10s.....!!!!!
had two more passes 15 mins apart and ran 11.02, and 11.05
figuring out thats she heat soaked I let her sit for over 1 hour and 20 min....
long cool down.......and went back up......
BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
10.77@129.72 with the 60 being only a 1.67....Hell ya!!!!!!!!
freaken car is haulin AZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I"LL try and post the time slip later........
I LOVE MY MARAUDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

hotford - great results!
I'd put a killer chiller on the car so you don't need the 1.5hr cool down time to run 3 tenths faster......and it will be more consistent on the street as well.
Bob - you'll be running, but won't be high tens, I doubt ;)

Never guessed that a Trilogy TS could pull those numbers. Who built the motor?

I mean he's making a good amount of power and it seems to work, I think you are safe. I'm happy because I like the stock stall speed seems it would make it easier to get traction with a PD blower car

never ever had any issues using the stock convertor...other may disagree but when using a PD blower its the only way to go, great street manners and seem to do preety good at the track too........
It all depends what your after....me i do more street driving than track time with my MM.....
I was gonna go to a 2.9 whipple set up, but may hold off now........

I agree. I'll be using a 13-14 2.3 TVS, with a 2v 5.4L both those together should make a great amount of torque down low, like you said I feel it's best for the track with PD blowers and I drive my car everywhere
Was poking around on site and saw this, congrats!!!
