I have looked at some threads about 4.10's. But what I have not found is those that have S/C, 4.10 and 295/45/18 tires. I see a lot that have N/A cars with 4.10's. And some that have S/C cars that seam to be on stock size tires.

What I am asking how does it do with S/C,4.10 and 295s. Like RPM's. I am not to worried about gas mileage.

295/45/18 are very close in height to stock rear tires, .160 smaller,0.6 % that's why they are popular. Tire size alone is like 4 rpm different from stock size. The rpm difference is from the 4.10. About 2500 for 70 mph

I have that set up set 2005--love it and just the perfect set up in my opinion....provides for a nice footprint--I also run 255/45/18 up front---to be the right match---

Ok I see where some say they only have 200 RPM difference at 70. I run right at 2100 at 70. 2700 is like 600 difference.

Sorry, I think I listed for like 80, more like 2500 at 70 or a tad less. I don't recall..my car has been put away for a month nearly for winter. changing my first post

There are a million Eaton/Trilogy cars with 4.10s out there all running perfectly fine

Put a 4.10 in the car. Quit worrying. You will enjoy the car wayyyyyy more!

Correct. I'm turning 200 RPM faster at 70 MPH and my widened rims are wrapped in 295/45/18's.

Got me some new 4.10's coming. I am slowing getting things together.

Funny looking back. Just a couple of years ago everyone swore up and down 4.10's weren't desirable in S/C'd cars. After offering some spirited runs in mine with 4.30's I'm curious how many gears I've helped sell over the years? [emoji4]

Gears are mandatory in Centrifugal cars , in a Eaton / Whipple car i wouldn't bother as your going to blow the tires off anyway with light throttle.

One of the first things Lidio did was put 4:10 on the Trilogy.

Bought mine on 9-03 with 4000 miles on it as a demo… it now has about 20K on it. I drive it every day with the 4.10’s, Nittos in the rear and the 13.8psi -- Trilogy blower since about 7K or 8K miles on it. Gets about 15-18mpg in town and about 21-22 on the HWY. Just got back from NJ with it last week and went to FL with it back in March for a Ford race. Wont be driving any thing else daily for a long time.

I wish I could reserve it as a fair weather car, but I cant bring myself to do that. Its just to fun with the gears and the blower on a day to day basis. Although it doesn’t see any snow.

Thanks

My best time was 12.87 with the 3.55. And that was way back and on 305 drag radials.

Will I am still getting everything I need to change them. Even a new Ford traction Lock with 31 Splines and Axles. See I all so will put my 305 drag radials back on just so I can not blow the tires off. If I do not like them I can all was change them back.
