I keep a shop towel in the gas lid compartment of each car now.

One of these came with my car. I forgot about them actually. I'm in for one as well.

Cut the tether off the cap. First mod I do to all cars. Only a doofus leaves their cap on the pump IMO.

I'd go with rubber. Needs to be gas resistant.

The cap sits nicely above and to the left of filler neck inside the compartment while leaving plenty of room for gas nozzle.

This keeps the cap off the paint, on the tether and not forgotten on the pump.

He also had a website (Innovative Interceptors) with excellent aftermarket performance parts for our Rauders and Panthers.

It's Top Notch! Gives that extra touch to fine details plus protection too.

But have not seen him log in for a long time and his site has closed.

Maybe another member(s) here know an email addy or cell number so can contact him?

cut the tether off. Ive done it to any car I have had..I hate the tether

Mine has been on the car since 2002. My tether broke, so I got another one free from the junkyard. Wouldn't be without either.

I tried this today with my CV Sport, did not fit anywhere. All they had to do is have a semi circle cut in the flap door for the cap to slip into, rather than dangle. I will make my own next year.
