So my steering has been a pretty loose for a while now and i decided to fix it and bought a lower steering shaft from another member on this site. While replacing it just now, I have come to the conclusion that it is the upper steering shaft (part number 3W1Z3B676AB). I just wanted to check to see if anyone on here might know where to get this part for cheaper than the dealership because I really cant afford $300 for this part right now. Also was wondering if the Dorman OE replacement is even worth my time?? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cant wait to have my steering back to normal.

I have, that's where they have the Dorman at for 100. I am looking to get a genuine ford part to replace it. Unless I can find some feedback on the Dorman part that makes me think it's reliable.

Take a look at this on eBay:
www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LINCOLN-MERCURY-UPPER-STEERING-SHAFT-COUPLING-UJOINT-3W1Z-3B676-AB-/321724362314?hash=item4ae8442e 4a:g:6SIAAOSwd4tUEy8j&vxp=mtr
I work in a large taxi fleet repair shop, and this looks exactly like the ones I get from the Ford fleet parts program. Ford grinds off logos and part numbers, and sells them at a greatly reduced price only to fleet dealers.

I just checked it out and the price looks great. But it says Koyo on it. So I am assuming it is made by Koyo and not Ford? I've never heard of Koyo before.

If you want ford then buy ford. It doesn't get much cheaper than tasca most times for Ford brand. Koyo is an automotive supplier

The only Dorman parts I use are the small parts.....

Dorman stuff is......OK.....I'll use it on the DD, but I won't use their stuff on The Blackbird. Their quality is very hit or miss...hardware and little fiddly things, fine...but something like an upper steering shaft, no.
