Just noticed the trim on the lower edge of my rear window has dropped from the glass and is sagging (back window, not door glass).

Is this a common problem? What is the best way to address it? It's a small opening to get some adhesive in there.

Will this allow water to get into the interior of the car?

pretty common. clean it well and use some silicone or windshield adhesive and put it back on the glass

Very common. I'm guessing mainly passenger side? I used silicone adhesive on mine and have had no leaks or further separation in 3 years.

Yes, sir. Passenger side sagging.

Where will the water get to? Trunk only? Luckily, I think I have noticed it before any rain has fallen. Need to seal it up or borrow her side of the garage. His side is already full of projects.

Im not positive, but water may only get into the recessed area surrounding the trunk well. I have to fix mine, but mine doesn't see any water as I don't drive it the rain so I don't have to wash it with water, but I will still fix in case.

That trim is just to protect the edge of the glass. Clean the channel of the trim and the glass surface, get some black silicone sealer, put some sealer in the channel and use painters tape to hold it in place over night. Did the same to mine and it's been holding for 3 or 4 years.
