I had read on here there was a fix / bushing kit available from a member for a loud air ride pump, but sorry I can't find it now. My compressor has gotten considerably louder, but works great. I pulled it out last weekend, the bushings aren't touching the movable bracket, but I don't see what could cause the noise. I rigged some more rigid bushings for each of the 3 feet, and replaced the pump. Now it's louder than ever. Can anyone point me in the right direction to quiet this vibration down?

Is it the pump or the bucket it's in?
If it's the pump it may be on it's way out.
If it's the bucket I'd check to make sure it is secured and not cracked.

Everything LOOKS fine, and the pump WORKS fine.. Hard to say. What should the rubber isolaters looks like in good condition? Living with it's not an option, for me anyways.

The little white box? Yes.. I'll pull it again when I get a chance, most likely this weekend, and take some pictures, glad it's a 5 minute job to pull it off at least.

It's possible one or more of the rubber mounts is deteriorated, but usually when the RAS compressor gets loud, it's on its last legs...I've replaced mine and Mary's for that reason. It's easy enough to tell which...

I think this is what most use for replacement air compressors.

Big +1 on this ^^^^^
Leaning more toward the pump going out.
My pump was very loud, causing heads to turn & attract unwanted attention, when it would turn on.
I installed a new one from Arnott. Now it's quiet & solid!!!
I further drilled out additional holes in the plastic bucket it sits in so draining is no issue which can further cause the pump to rust out & fail.

I just heard my pump kick on for the first time ever while I shut the car off the other day. Hope it's not planning to take a poop after a harsh life of 21k miles.

Dead link.. Try again?
FYI: site was up & running this afternoon, as I accessed it, but now down as of this posting.
Hopefully the site is not permanently down. Try again in a few hours or tomorrow.

The noise is commonly associated with the motor separating from the assembly due to corrosion.

^ Yes, mine kinda FLOATS on the bracket assembly, and the bushings don't fully 'touch' the bracket and pump.. I supplimented the bushings, and now it's louder. So if that's the case, is a new pump / bracket in order to solve it, or are bushings available or is there a simpler fix?

How do bushings look?
