That's right. After trying all week, I finally got through a radio station giving away a 72 Chevelle and scored a key! They give away 12 keys during the week, on saturday everyone gathers together and whoever starts the car wins it!

I won a key today and hope to drive the badass Chevy home!

Yes the wheels will be sold immediately if all goes well.

WOO HOO!!!

The car is below....

Even the DJ said the wheels must go.

On top of all of that my band scored a local Misfits show today and I invited the radio crew out. Let's just say we will all have a nice talk this saturday.

I'll keep you guys posted if I win the car, already have a key!!!

I'd sell that cracker can as fast as they gave it to me.
I'd rather have a key that opens the car skank pictured with it.

I hope you win, it has some resale value.

Yes....the HUGE wheels must go!

If for no other reason than to hide the 4 wheel drum brakes.

Good luck with the contest/key!!

Tribute car? Well at least they have the decency to admit it. Still amazes me that every SS Chevy ever made is still on the road, and then some.:shake:

Good luck Dom. If you win sell it and treat yourself to a nice Les Paul.:)

I guess I should have said, if you win it, you are obligated to do either a huge burnout or doughnuts, and pictures of the event would be awesome.

Hope you win!

Do you physically have the key?

Was at one of these restored old car drawings... People held 11 shiny new keys and one lady held a 33 year old used up nasty old key. She was upset about it! I walked over and told the gal that I just knew she was gonna win the 1967 Mustang. She did!

I wouldn't be surprised if it cant turn a tire. Very likely under that shiny chrome air cleaner is a tired 307. As it says it is a tribute car so it probably started out as granny's grocery getter and why it was in good enough condition to do a cheap and quick tribute.

That is funny, just a little bit of a tell. It would be interesting to compare the non winning keys and see if they were all the same.

Also obligated to pay tax! They probably claim its value at $25,000 or more for their write off..

:stupid: that's why my first post is 'sell it as fast as they give it to me'
Plus, it's a cheap wannabe. Even Chevelle guys won't like it = low value.
Look at the filthy little pumpkin under the hood. It's a sad car, with a black floor shift console added inside with a repo cowl hood that isn't functional. Tribute cars would actually pay tribute to the SS offering - not just slap emblems and a hood on a tired old drum brake car. I can see where they welded in the trunk pan, can just imagine the rest of the body work. - end rant.
I hate Chevelles, especially poorly done.

I do hope Dom wins it, that would be cool, and do whatever ;)

Dom don't listen to this. Don't pay the taxes bro. You're an outlaw.

Why hate on the car? Hate on the gal in the photos! That gal pigeon toed gal has a "snitty" look on her face in every single photo... But looks to have a new front bumper!

PS my "church lady" grandmother Violet had this same exact car, sans the stripes, flakey hood, funk wheels, and GT stealing wheel.

PPS. If you do sell it-- only pay the taxes on the "real" value of the car. Use the selling forms as your proof, and let the gov chase down the "grifter" for overstating the charity value!
