Need help for failed emission test on HammerDown's car.
There is no "check engine" light. Emission test came back "not ready".
Removed the Mo's tune, re-installed the original tune. Drove car for 1 week, with 200 miles.
Scan guage still says "not ready" when scan for any codes.
Any ideas/suggestions on what to do next?? :(:(

Google search ford drive cycle. It can take a while to get all parameters ready

I drove this cycle and monitors were ready within 30 minutes. Drive in traffic at medium speeds for a few miles, get on the highay right up to 65-75 and set the cruise for 10 minutes. then shut off the cruise and let the car decel to a stop off a ramp. that just lets the O2 sensors see some rich and full lean - they will set your catalyst monitor. The EVAP monitor might make you wait parked over night, start and go right down the highway - with 3/4 tank of fuel.
Prepare for the test, drive it as outlined, and the monitors should set.
It is easy if you have a scan tool that reads the monitors, not just tells you 'ready' like the Scangauge.
Then you know which monitor you need to set, and drive accordingly.
good luck.

OP said he drove the car for a week and over 200 miles. Everything should have reset in that time frame. Could there be something else?

For me I drove the car a week and the Evap would not reset. I then drove on the highway for 10 minutes and was good to go.

If he did not drive in a specific manner, monitors may not set. Catalyst and EVAP must be driven with purpose to set. EGR can be a bugger.
BUT - sure, my EVAP monitor would not set, and no CEL for 2 weeks of country road driving. Those speeds do not tell the EVAP system to check/set.
then when I drove highway 25 miles each way for 2 days, highway speeds tell the system to check/set so it triggered the CEL and pointed me to a faulty canistor selenoid.
really, a scan tool, not code reader, is they way to find out which monitor(s) need attention.

Sounds like you need to drive in a variety of ways Jack, not just in the slow lane.:P

worth noting:
most every state, a 2004+ car will pass with one monitor (except catalyst) not ready.
I passed with my scan tool 'not ready' because the EVAP monitor had still not set. I drove easy, tested and passed. next time I drove highway speeds, the CEL came on ;)
Sooo... read which monitor is not ready. If it is just one, and not the catalyst monitor, you should go through.

It's a DTR.
It takes longer to reset.
Post count +1, Jack!
The only monitors which show up on my scanner in my car are F and CC. I'll be doing an emissions test in April. We'll see what they say. My tune has the rest of the monitors turned off.

Evap typically won't be ready if temps are under 50*. This is well known to the testing lanes so it is never an issue passing with it not ready. Assuming no pending codes.
