Throttle stuck open at 2600 rpm

Gave her a little gas to pass up a car and noticed her hard to slow down and at a stop she was trying to go,put her in neutral and was revving to 2600 by itself. Checked the throttle body thinking maybe it was stuck open,not to mechanic savvy, any ideas ????

Could be throttle position sensor.

That was the first thing I checked and no it seemed to be fine there was no weird play on It or anything,and nothing was in the way no

Throttle body cleaner.

Disconnect the cable and see what's sticking.

Is your throttle return spring still on?
