IAT2 and MAFia wiring

Do I splice into the MAF wiring to run to the IAT2 at the back of the lower intake manifold before or after the MAFia or does it not matter?

I would splice in and extend the wires off of the factory MAF plug vs cutting up the MAFia.

That's what i was thinking but wasn't sure if the mafia needed the temp signal or not. Plus it's a shorter run to splice into the factory maf harness
