Awhile back I was thinking about installing a marauder gauge cluster in my Crown Victoria when I stumbled across this car in a salvage yard in Foster Rhode island. When I went there to look at it it was already very well picked over but still had some stuff worth grabbing so I went back yesterday to get some stuff I needed to make my car a little nicer when I can get the time .. needless to say I was happy to score a nice clean steering wheel and a mint overhead console for more than fair money. Along with a carpet and the left tail lamp.. what a shame to see these cars end up this way but this car was hit so hard in the front that it was just not fixable, the aluminum crossmember shattered in the floor was buckled when I pulled up the rug. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/17cd91a6d89374110efac5fb5e3174 c7.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/ab065b0979f8ed36900caaf739244a 33.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/40f1294857dfc3b069c9bdc03cfb92 1b.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/84bc4a328172f312f0a092d079bcfe 84.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/a08d0a949e64db87338976acea2277 04.jpg

There's a mounting bracket for the overhead console..go back and get it. it does not just attach to the roof. it will be under the headliner and its partially glued with really tough stuff..just FYI

that is the junkyard I drove ~3 hrs to get 'MINT leather seats for my brothers GM bench.. they were moldy junk laying all over and creased by parts. the yard is a shambles and they made us drive in, and got metal **** in our tires = leaks. could not open some car doors due to retarded stacking.
At least you can get to see the parts first, those guys were idiots.
nice score :)

The door panels might be worth it if they are cheap.

Beat me to it^^^. Outside mirrors also would be desirable as well as any Marauder specific trim pieces. Trunk panel might be worth something(reverse light panel).

Rubbercity thanks, I was thinking about how it was attached to the roof as the tabs on mine are broken so the screws Hold it but I could use it as i carefully removed the overhead and The bracket is good. I'm probably Going to get whatever I can off it Before it's too late. Too bad the console and dash trim was gone already, I could use them to mint out the interior . I gave the carpet to my friend who has an extractor tonight to clean it for me during the week to see how it comes out.

Yes I plan to grab the trunk too as it's mint. It also has the factory subwoofer which mine is missing. The front doors would have been good too but they opened them into pushed back fenders so the edges are bent pretty good. Mine has a little rust on the bottom of the two left doors but I bought a 2005 black Crown Vic for parts and the doors are perfect.

Yes the way this car is situated you couldn't really get into it very easily, and they don't seem to pay much mind into preserving what they have there so it stays nice. I contemplated selling mine after I had it for a little bit because I got it so cheap but decided since I don't want to I'm going to make it nice, it's just too much fun!

Lol Bob, actually had it in the trunk of my crown vic to hold some detailing supplies and grabbed it cuz it was the only thing I had for the task.. if there are some more junkyard crawls in my future I'm going to try to get something a little more manly i mean practical haha

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/22/f52be07b5a2f5a4411a8847b9ba107 ac.jpg this is my daily, 95 crown Vic. Bought it for $650 Four years ago hit in the nose and fixed it up myself. Added the top and notice the 1955 emblems on the doors. Filled the holes in the fenders, the original emblems looked too police and taxi . Off topic but figured you guys would like it. At least I have a marauder to balance this car out cuase when I roll up to dunkin donuts in this, they try to give me the senior citizen discount!

It you can get it. I would grab the stainless trim around the doors if it isn't bent, dented etc. the bottom trim just has one bolt inside the door frame

I may but on most of these , the bottom piece of trim almost always bubbles from rusting on the inside and I have to lower and or remove the glass to get the rest. on the doors that are still Good , I know they will want me to buy the whole door instead of giving me the trim

Great job on the wheel, that Clark's stuff looks like it works well.

thanks. Believe it or not my girl suggested it as she uses it to clean our leather couches and it seems to keep them nice and supple. My car isn't really that nice but things like a worn out steering wheel drive me crazy. Makes the whole interior look trashed. Which it's actually pretty decent for the miles.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/11/703c24c9b90447ea9c86d6163a9a79 0f.jpg

So true. If I had the property I would have my own junkyard and that just wouldn't work
