So, I was minding my own business and a city owned vehicle made a left turn in front of me. Took out the RF fender, hood, header, head light, marker light, grille, bumper cover and bumper reenforcement.

Its their fault and the city insurance adjuster is willing to work with me on repairs to avoid totaling the car (when the dust settles, they actually lose money when they take possession and auction a totaled car he said).

I have all the sheetmetal parts covered.

The items I would like to keep OEM are the grille (obsolete from Ford), bumper cover (the unicorn), and the MM bumper reenforcement. The MM reenforcement is shorter in length than the Marquis one (4 1/2" from outter upper bolt to outside edge FYI). I would like to avoid having to cut one down and weld on the end caps.

Hoping someone has the parts I need at a reasonable price (I front the cost and get reembursed). Closer to Las Vegas, Nevada the better.

You can reach me at j3166y@gmail.com or cal/text (702)-3 SEVEN 5-8878.

you could search car-part.com for an original header panel (grand marquis/Marauder) Aftermarket body parts ALL suck, but the header panel is horrible.
I hope your sheet metal is all OEM.
I used a repop grille and it fit decent. the lights repop will fit with effort - try to find OEM.
the repop front bumper cover I've seen come out decent.
best of luck - we need DBPs to live on.

I"ve used the aftermarket front bumper, it's not bad, hoping to locate a good OEM one and a OEM grille. Got some leads.

I got a super clean front clip off a 2003 Marquis. No dings or scratches, so the sheetmetal and header are covered.

Thanks for the tips.

If you'd like make a reasonable offer on a front bumper and grill.
All I can do is say no.....

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, sucks having 2 Marauders down in the area. From what I have learned from the nitwits that drive around here I am tempted to put a red led light bar under my rear bumper. I thought that there was a guy here who was scarfing up wrecked cars to stock pile parts to sell. I don't remember who it is.

Ford Vintage Parts has the Grille. If the Dealer says differently, they're lying!

Stay away from reproduction grills. Total waste of money; it didn't fit right AT ALL. Stick with OEM, or have one from a Grand Marquis painted.

Last I saw, Steve (embassy) still had a OEM black grille, never mounted..would need paint of course.

In what city?

When you try to actually locate and buy the grille from Fordparts.com (vintage) it says "Due to low demand Ford is no longer manufacturerIng this part." Which is what the dealer tells me. Not available at any dealer anymore.

Will keep it in mind. May have a line on a good one from a friend. But it'll turn out to be a CVPI black honey comb one.

I hope you picked up the waterfall badge from the wrecked grille. Some replacement grilles come without one.

Yes, I picked up as much of the debris I could. The badge was undamaged.

Aftermarket ones look fine, nobody will know but you.
Aftermarket will come in black primer, ready to paint.
OEM may be wrong color or scuffed up and needing paint.
Might even have holes from front license plate bracket.
Chances of paint sticking to primer is better than repaint.

I've used 2 aftermarket ones so far. Other than a missing hole in the bottom lip to mount the splash shield they fit pretty good and finish out fine. The rubber (plastic) is thinner and a lot harder than the OEM. I was hoping to find a nice one. Don't mind paying a little more for it either if it's good. As a last resort, I'll use the aftermarket one.

Part of the reason the covers may not fit is there is a difference between the MGM and Marauder bumper reenforcement. The MM one is 9" shorter to clear the fog light depressions. I noticed that when working on a MM. I'll do a seperate post to log it for future reference as all the interchange books and wrecking yards will say they interchange.
