Winter puts that job about 8 months away.
I need to rebuild the rearend first thing next season, so I could let the brackets go, if it helped someone.

I'm thinking air disc brakes is the next wave of improved braking here, just have to figure out the center cap fitment, and some extra lug nut studs..then good to go

They work on any '03+ Panther. They just barely squeeze into 18s, so that's as small as you can go.

I make no apologies for refusing to accept the mediocrity (or worse) of marginal or lowest-bidder design in a car that I expect to perform. Hot rodding is not just bolting on parts, but designing and fabricating of improvements. But the humor was not lost on me ;)

I'm thinking of designing a bracket that will hold a second caliper for twice as much brake surface. Engineer a control so when the brakes are applied the air ride compressor will kick on blowing air onto the front rotors so to help prevent overheating and warping.
I did see on Facebook that it is suggested to run a nitrous line to each rotor for better cooling but that may push me over my budget :bigcry:

keep going, you're on to something..killer chiller fed into a constant blowing surface cooling nozzle?

boost pressure regulated meth injection to the rotor vanes?

Wilwood makes a mechanical caliper (http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/CaliperList.aspx?subname=MC4 Mechanical) that could replace the drum/rotor monstrosity on the rear. That change alone should take 15 lbs off the rear axle. I'll be using this for the parking brake on my 9" rear setup.
