I have a used FNSL6R 14" front kit in good working condition. This is the current hardware with radial-mount calipers. I upgraded to a larger Aero6 kit requiring aftermarket wheels. Consumables like rotors and pads are not included (typically $175 each and $80 to $150 for a set of pads).
$600 includes calipers, mounting brackets, lines, rotor hats and thin wheel spacers. This is the plus 2 kit at TCE (http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/marauder/kits-17/).

I'm curious, why no rotors?

Rotors are two-piece like any real brake setup. Aluminum hats are included, rotor "rings" are used up. Pads aren't included either, and priced to match. Surely you didn't expect new pads and rotor rings for $600?

No sir, was only curious on why no rotors in case you missed that part.
Your answer of them being used up was just and adequate.
Your sarcasm was just uncalled for, hope that didn't offend you.

Sorry . . .
no worries
i do have a question for you since you seem knowledgable. what pad that you have used left the least amount of brake dust when you used these.
i bought a car that has these and had never driven a car with the willwood setup so i wanted to see what all the fuss was about. oh lordy do they work! but i wasn't happy with the amount of brake dust they left behind.
thank you in advance

The pad that lasted the longest and produced the least dust for me was Hawk HPS at 14K miles. I am running Carbotech 1521 on the Aero6 setup, which I like, but that is apples and oranges compared to the smaller FNSL6R caliper so I don't know about drawing any conclusions there.

Also do I need a spacer and will this work with stock MM wheels? Thank you.

Installation is no more difficult than doing a brake job, trivial. A 0.090" wheel spacer is required and included. It fits behind the stock MM wheels using this thin spacer.

Tempting, tempting....
I did some research years ago, and found that OEM Mach 1 rotors would most likely bolt right on with the correct offset.
I never did test fit it though.

Thickness needs to be 1.1", and you wouldn't have the lightweight aluminum hat.

That would require brackets for 13" rotors correct.
As I understand it this is the kit with brackets for 14" rotors.
Simple as ordering the brackets from TCE I guess.

03-04 Mach1's use directional 13x1.10 rotors

Probably makes more sense to order the 14" rotors than change brackets, but you do whatever you want if you buy them.

I love these but I swap my summer rims in winter with 17" steel wheels. Would have been cool though to get a set of these.

Price aside what are the pro and cons of two great break kits 14" FNSL6R
Wilwood v/s Zac kit ?
Daily street driver ?
Stopping distance ?
Fixed caliper v/s float caliper ?
Pad selection ?
Rotor selection ?

There has been a great deal of discussion about Marauder brakes, and for good reason. The factory setup is inadequate, and aftermarket solutions have so far had their pros and cons.
For the TCE/Wilwood kit the pros are stopping distance, modulation and feel, and they use fixed calipers with their well-understood advantages. To quote the respected suspension expert Carroll Smith: "Floating calipers are an abomination". Also, this kit fits under the stock wheel with a minimal spacer.
As far as the cons, the opinions are varied. Some MM.net members believe there are no downsides to the FNSL6R 14" kit. In my experience the cons are: short pad and rotor life, possibly due to the small pad area and 1.1" thick rotor. That said, I got the longest life out of a set of Hawk HPS pads with this kit so I would suggest those as a starting point.
I don't have experience with the Zack kit, so I will only comment that it uses floating calipers with their associated shortcomings. If anybody has long-term experience with it, or it's cousin the Baer kit perhaps they can comment.
You can get darn near any pad compound you want for the FNSL6R caliper, and I guess the same is true for the corvette caliper in the Zack configuration. Rotors are specific to the TCE/Wilwood kit, while they are off-the-shelf for the Zack kit.

i have one car stock
i have the baer kit fronts on one car
willwoods front and back on another but only drove this car twice.
imho willwoods outperform the baer kit which outperforms stock
the zack kit is comparable to baers from what i'm told.
depends what you want out of it.
if you put yourself in daily driver situations where you need to panick stop (because you drive like an idiot) no question, willwoods.

+1.......................
I wish I had the same luck you guys did with Wildwoods.
I had 2 different pads on mine and could not get it to stop better than stock.
(And yes it was bled properly and had SS lines)

The Zack kit uses 14x1.25 rotors
The Wilwood 14" uses 14x1.10 rotors
The Wilwood has 6-piston fixed calipers
The Zack kit has 2-Piston floating calipers
The Wilwood has expensive service parts
The Zack setup has cheap service parts

For my clarification why does Carroll Smith say float calipers are an abomination ?
PM sent. I'll take the brake kit.
