Turtle Wax Zip wax lacking soap suds all of a sudden

a thought, for the concerns of a sudden lack of soap suds on the paint finish when washing, is that the Turtle Wax Zip Wax wash solution that I am using, may be stale.

It wasn't that many years ago I had purchased two bottles (1.18L each) of the solution. In fact, prior to purchasing the two bottles I had been using a large 4L jug of the solution which lasted an incredible amount of years however I had never experienced a lack of soap suds when that 4L bottle was finishing up.

    'just a thought.

perhaps, years ago, Turtle Wax Zip wax lasted longer, and that they're not made to retain they're effectiveness as long, today.

I have a bottle I rarely use that is 20+ years old - still suds.

You may have a bottle from a bad batch, contact TW customer service and let them know. They may want to do a QC research & most likely replace your bad bottle.

Mine has frozen every winter for 20+ years, been out in the garage (Wisconsin).

I finally gave to my sister to use up as I so rarely touched it.

No it never has frozen; the bottle has been always stored in a bedroom when not being used

Interestingly thought that it may be a bad batch. It always sudded until I last used it about a year and half ago. If it's a bad batch it may go stale earlier than normal I surmise. I will call TW

I live in Vancouver and we have some of the softest water around

It's an interesting point, to be sure, though

the harder the water the less the sudd action hence the requirement for more soap solution in the mix

If I had traveled up north to the Okanagan desert area, yes, the water would be much harder. I've been washing the car in the same spot however.

Worried about a $4.00 container of car wash?

Throw it out and buy a new one!

    indeed

I might be looking at upgrading to Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax. The description promotes the sudding action as well.
