Lower End of an Eaton Swap

Hello all. I've searched out here for about a half hour and my time is running short.

I am putting in the bottom half of the Eaton. The Top is still for sale. Anyway, I'm trying to get the cooling tube to fit correctly so my lower intake will sit properly. I have both a new Marauder cooling tube and a new Cobra cooling tube.

Will someone please point me in the right direction as to how to install the cooling tube so my lower intake will sit down properly. BTW, I'm not a fan of "smashing" or "hammering" the Marauder cooling tube until "it fits".

Thanks all!!! Have a great day!

If you look through some of Zack's posts, you'll find that there is some grinding that needs to be done on the lower intake to make it sit flat. I can't post pics on the site otherwise I'd post em up. I also have a thread on my Facebook page that shows my install on my car. Curless Auto Repair, go to photos, go to Marauder Boost I believe is the name of the album... I have step by step photos.

I assume the cooling tube is the one in the valley? If so use the cobra tube and remove the knock sensor, then grind down the knock sensor boss till the intake sits flat.

The knock sensor then relocates to the back of the cylinder heads.

I just did this last week and I had to smash the tube as well as grind the manifold. Be careful when grinding. Don't be a dummy like me and grind through the manifold! I had to make a repair weld.

Speaking as a plumber.. You are changing nothing but the shape of the tube by slightly ovaling it. Flow remains the same.

Sorry fellas but I disagree with smashing a steel tube, with a hammer, under an intake, and expect it to last. Flame suit on
Too much stuff to remove to replace! Besides, the OP said he has both a stock MM and a Cobra tube.

Use the cobra tube and be done with it! Done right or not done at all.

The process is explained in the trilogy installation instructions (not that it makes it better). Grinding on the bottom of the intake till you see light is a big mistake I’m glad I didn’t make.

Use the Cobra tube like musclemerc said. Here’s some random pics I just happened to take of both tubes laying in the valley:
