    Door Keypad Install

Does the door panel have to come off to install a new door keypad? Is it plug and play or do I have to program it?

I don't see clips on the back of the thing. I'm hoping you just remove it from outside the car in 2 seconds. Rooting around youtube did not give me the answers I was looking for...

I have tiny hands, makes it easier to get that pad off. Otherwise long screwdriver, lots of patience and luck

It's hard to get around the window to the clips. I suggest removing the window to avoid damage to the glass.

It's a tight fit, slide the clip towards the mirror and it'll fall out

Taking off the door panel is easy, I just hate it. Boring. And I'm lazy lately.

Why can't it just clip on from the outside like everything else in cars these days?

Here is a youtube on another style Ford keypad.....it unsnaps from the outside in 2 seconds without breaking. Looks perfectly sturdy.

drop it off at a shop with a bar next door . problem solved . does not get much easier with the door open and sitting on a stool , better then pulling the engine and replacing the rod bearings . now that's boring LOL

Just did mine, took the window out and it was super easy. The little Gold circle contacts came off the pad so i fixed them and cleaned everything. Works perfect now.
