Yea 1 12 JL w6 500w amp in its recommended sealed box just laying in the trunk. Is more then enough. Not sure though if it will sound the same or worse if I put it in a custom box on the top row with the spare tire still there or on the side it would look neater though

That's very nice. My plans will be something like this but with two 10"s. Very nice set up.

Two subs IMO will always sound better than one. If you are looking for space build a box in the upper deck for 2 high quality 10's. The reason I'm running one IDMAX 12" is because I had it from another project. Two IDMAX 10" would be optimal.

2 Kicker CVX 15's in a 6ft^3 ported enclosure running off a Hifonics BRX2000. The other pic is from when I installed the Zeus for the components.

My 12" was mounted on the left side in my 99 Crown Vic. It sounded fine, but I never liked having the fuel shut off blocked, and don't want my Marauder's air compressor switch blocked either. I'm going to build a box in the next month to fit to the left of the spare. The sub will fire up through the factory sub hole.

Are you concerned with keeping the spare?

Yeah, and my truck space. I'm just going to build the box to fit the available space. I only need 1.1 cubic ft, and if I get anywhere close to that, I'm happy. I'm not into spl competitions or anything like that. I'm pretty sure it will sound way better than stock. Probably should run a 10" sub, but I already have that 12w3D-4 sitting there not being used.

That should work out pretty well for you then, do you already have an amp for it?

There is 3 cubes under the rear deck if not more. Should be plenty for anything if you design it properly for your driver(s).

I want to keep my spare in place as well. I've been thinking of getting a box built for a 12 or a 15 to go in the right corner. May be my best bet. You all think the 1 15" in the corner will come close to the 2-10s?
