    SCT Xcal II functions

Can I make a correction with my SCT Xcalibrator II. My speedometer is wrong due to gear change from 3:55 to 4:10s. I do not want to use the custom tune the Xcal came with. If so how do I do this ?

Change the tire revs per minute number. Get a Garmin and experiment until you get it to match the car and GPS speedometer.

If you are trying to change the stock tune, I don't think this is possible because you don't have access to it.

Seems like the easiest way is to ask one of the vendors here to send you a tune with the correct gear ratio. And if your car has a stock tune you will hit yourself over the head for not getting the shift schedule modified.

Changing the revs per mile will not allow you to benefit fully from the 4.10 swap. The trans shift schedule and torque converter lockup schedule are also adjusted with a 4.10 tune.

Talk to whoever your current tune is from, if you're currently stock then better talk to MO!

I do like my custom 4:10 tune. The concern is it turns the fans on less than five mins into normal driving. If I back the custom tune out the fans don't come on unless I have ac on & it's a real hot day. How do I alter the custom tune. There are no option for this I am aware of under options in sct tuner.

Your Xcal probably is still married to your old PCM so it's not likely to work.

    No

You need the KEY to start that PCM, I know you know this

Delete PATS for that new PCM and see if it starts. This eliminates the key and dongle
