    Front headlight rubber molding

The black molding on and around my headlights has started to lift up and come off. Anyone experiencing this problem and brought it in to the dealer. Is it a quick fix or do they order new molding.....

I had this problem. They ordered the parts when I took it in for 5000 mile service. I still have not heard that their in and I now have 7500 miles on it.

    JohnnyB,

Unfortunately this is not uncommon. My 01 Cobra did the same thing. I had the dealer replace them them once. Then on round two I got out the "gel super glue" and reglued it myself.. BTW if you run 100W bulbs the heat seems to make it worse....

    front headlamp assembly

I had this very early on and had the dealer replace both front headlamp assemblies. My concern was moisture was getting in due to the poor fit.

I've noticed that when I wash the Marauder, the headlight assembly lens gets all fogged-up, can this be a poor seal due to the molding or is this common. My headlight assembly on the Chevy TrailBlazer I traded-in did not do this, If no one else has experienced this with their Marauder than it's off to the dealership for a new headlight assembly for both sides, not just the molding, it's under warranty and I'm getting the new piece. This Board is GREAT!!!

When I bought mine, I noticed the seal lifting on the one I test drove, so I looked at the others.. on all 7 cars my dealer had, the headlight seal was lifted. Bad design.

I'm going to bring it in.... problem is if they have to order the parts it's another trip and another day off from work...... I could glue it and seal it myself but if it's under warranty.....
    I agree.........it is a very poor design

JB: what was the fix? Mine is lifting on the right side only. Did your dealer replcae the trim or the whole headlight assembly?
