Beast from the Northeast: 03 Crown Vic on Dyno

Beast from the Northeast: 2003 Crown Vic on the Dyno

I was at the Ponies in the Smokies event in Tennessee last week where I not only Dyno'd the Vic, I had a lot of fun running up and the Dragon 129 hanging with Mustangs and Roush's it's 11 miles and 312 turns and horsepower alone is not enough. You need a well balanced car with handling, brakes, and cooling is a must. I was able to carry alot of momentum into the turns which helped save on brakes and horsepower coming out of the turn when possible. My brothers 2011 GT could not shake me off his tail up or down the mountain. It was a lot of fun and I helped my brother take Top 75 out of 500+ cars at the events a great showing for him.

Thank you for your replies. Track is next.

Thank you everyone for your nice replies. My plans are next is to get some track time at Island Dragway in Great Meadows N.J. I will gather info from my runs and make hopefully smart decisions on how to improve track times if all goes well.

Awesome! I'll be up at Island if I fix my trans and do my brakes. I believe that that they are open already. At some point I want to run my SHO against my marauder, not sure which one I should let my brother drive. Good luck and have fun.

Fantastic I'm figuring at the track might be a good place to see and meet our big body Panther Ford brothers, sisters and all Fords.

Island usually has a pretty diverse turnout. Never know what you'll see there. Especially now that englishtown is closed.
