I can't believe this.
I remember watching one of those buick commercials with the ghost of Harley earl whispering to the engineers.
commerical: "Let's make something new, different, and exciting!"
me: I bet its *****y suv
commerical: "what if it was V8, awd"
me: oh boy! that would be an awesome car!
commerical: "now what if we think different and put that in.......an suv!"
me: that isn't different at all!
Between this and that list of cars selling poorly, I guess there won't be variety in what is made anymore. Maybe they will just call it 'the car'. Buy the new Ford Car! Now with doors! Dodge Car now has over 3 lug nuts per wheel!
"Come to me, Superman! I defy you! Come and kneel before Zod! Zod! "
Its not fake news, but remember when in 1976 US manufactures stopped making convertibles forever. That didn't last long. This may or may not. But there will always be used ones for those who want them.

Not really surprising. The Japanese sedans such as Accord and Altima are the only vehicles in the top 20 list. The rest are large SUV's, crossovers and light trucks.
Not like Ford's cars were interesting to look at. Ford dealer near me stocks very few cars and zillions of trucks and SUV's. Life cycle of American cars is still twice as long as Asian cars. Not that Honda's are interesting, but give it 3 years and they will come out with a redesign that might be.
To answer Dan's question, no, it won't mean an increase in value for us. No one buys luxo-barges or sedans or "performance sedans" anymore, and when they DO, they buy BMWs and Mercedes' and Lexi. When they want something ignormous, they buy SUV locomotives or bro-trucks.
