People are resistant to change so to a degree the manufacturers have to shove a little tech down our throats from time to time.
Just wondering....
Do any of the manufacturers who offer this feature, 'beef up' the starter motors to account for the umpteen thousands of extra starts that occur because of it?
(Or are they just planning on selling a LOT of starter motors over the parts counter...)
