Goal - Marauder Rebuild to Drag Race in Fall 2019

With 112,000 Miles and ~100 Runs down the 1/4 Mile on the Ford Cobra Reman I decided to rebuild with the Goal to Drag Race in the Fall of 2019.

ZOOM TECH a local garage that I have been using is a Jasper Dealer. Jasper rebuilt the engine and Vortech rebuilt the S/C. Replaced the H2O pump, Coils, Meth Pump, Thermostat and Bypass.

Today got to the 300 mile mark. The plan after the 500 mile service is to put her on a Dyno to check everything.

Anticipate “surprising” some 2 doors!

There was a time when Jasper had a very poor reputation but I guess they've improved since a lot of shops use their rebuilt motors now??

Out of curiosity are there other companies that will receive/ship a re-manufactured Cobra Long Block and include a warranty?

MMR Engines come with a HP rating and guarantee.

Would never touch a MMR engine. Friend of mine had one which ate itself in 400 miles. Read plenty of horror stories about MMR over the years on SVTPerformance as well.

At the end of the day you can get a good or bad engine from anywhere, we tend to get caught up in the horror stories from the 1 out of 100 that went south.

Then it would have been under the warranty. They built my engine and It makes 649 rwhp.
