Hagerty just listed the Marauder as 1 of 8 cars to buy before prices start rising.

This is good. I've procrastinated long enough. Scheduling Marauder for a full detail next week, then phoning the nearby Hagerty agent for an appraisal. State Farm auto policy (three vehicles) expires at the end of this month. Want to move Marauder over to Hagerty.

You don't need an appraisal. Decide what you think its worth and they will insure it for that amount. All through their website. I insured mine for 22k for $750 per year. It seems to be the sweet spot price and value wise.

Is it true that a person needs a primary car and a primary car insurance before Hagerty will insure? Or am I thinking of a different insurance?

I guess none of this would apply to people who own Marauders with Salvage to rebuilt titles?

Met with Hagerty agent yesterday and received a quote on Marauder and Mustang (yes, my 05 Mustang qualifies!!). $2,237 per year currently with State Farm and $929 per year with Hagerty. Identical deductibles-limits, etc. $15,000 agreed value on the Marauder, 'solid #2 condition' according to the agent as she saw it in person. She won't see Mustang until next week because its going into the paint shop tomorrow to repaint the rear bumper. Agent stated the Mustang was a solid #2 judging by the description I gave her - $15,500 agreed value. My Ranger is now officially my 'daily driver'.
