    Water pump pulley

    I noticed some of ya'll put a high flow emp stewart water pump. i did the same and ran into a pulley issue the old one wont fit and the new one i got that dose fit the water pump is to big, any advice?

    Post a pic. Did You get the short or long pump? Only issue I had with a Steeda water pump pulley was I had to add washers on the bolts to back them out a bit so it would spin freely.

    Send it back and get an OEM type replacement!!

    I never saw any improvement with the Stewart pump but it did seem to work OK just too expensive!!

    It's a 6% improvement in flow at 6,000rpm while consuming 7% less power. It will out flow the stock pump while consuming less power to run it.

    Any improvement with the EMP Stewart pump is not really measurable!!

    It is quite well made but a lot more expensive than OEM so save your money for a more meaningful modification!!

    And how much time do you plan on spending in the 6000RPM zone? *Just sayin'.

    My uncle says I need it to move water quicker it's over heating, it's an different engine and has cams

    Sometimes moving coolant too fast is bad also, really fast flowing coolant might not have time to pick up the heat and then release it at the radiator. Just saying....

    Pretty sure Stewart took all that into consideration when they desighed and tested the WP before its release.

    I've run this pump for 10 plus years without a single issue. Did I choose this unit for the advertised 2-3HP gain? No I did it because the impeller design is far better than the stock wagon wheel.
