    Looking for new wheels... HELP

Ok, im selling my factories, and i need to know what i can fit on my car..

im looking to go with a nice drag/driver wheel. I plan on keeping the 3.55s, and will eventually be fbo and procharged.

What size wheels and tires can i fit out back? Anyone running a drag pack style setup?

Seems most people keep the stocks, but i just cant do it. Lol

    thanks for any help

You can widen the factory rears x 1.5" and run a 305/45R18 drag radial.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

I have no desire to keep the factory wheels, so i definitely dont want to spend more money on them. I dont want some psychological trickery that i “feel”.

Drag radials do not make good daily driver tires..they can be very poor in rain and wear fast, maybe 5k miles and are pricey

Not terribly concerned with tread wear. Just trying to figure out how big i have to be to clear brakes, how wide they CAN go, what offset or backspacing is required, etc.

You can use 16 inch wheels and clear brakes if factory brakes.

15 inch will fit on rear. But not clear front brakes. Drag radials are more plentiful in 15,16,17 inch and some 18 inch. Width will all depend on offset. Best off finding offset calculator online, plug in the Marauder wheel max, 50 offset, 9.5 wide and find what converts

Stock wheels are 8"wide --lot of us have widen them to 9.5 and run up to 295/45/18 as daily with no problem or needing any spacers--Would not want to go wider even though some have and do--its just not what you want--another story--trust--ok- I have 10 inch ones I use for 305 drags for just that- Either mufflers are popular -18"- is preferred- As for different wheels --its up to you--most keep the factory as they in their own right are limited run and set the car apart--however--a lot of "other" type wheels tend to make the car appear other than a Marauder--which most don't want to do--but like I said --it yours so look around to no wider that 9.5 wheel is my suggestion.

As a side note--I too had a '98 Vic --traded it for the MM back in '02

    Rear 2954020
    Fronts 255352

That's what I run on thexstreet with no modifications to clear.

I run a 15x8 et20 mt etss in the rear at the track. . 2756015.

I use www.willtheyfit.com as my go to for figuring out offsets and clearance etc.

I've been considering going back to stocks with a widenend rear. I like my rear tire appearance but not the Fronts. And a smaller rear tire is more fun in the street.

15s fit the rear no problem. Just have to watch offset, specifically at the axle shock mount.
