    Marauder at McDonald's

Came across a fella and his gal at McDonald's this afternoon in Wheaton, IL.
I think he said his screen name was "Champ1173," but we didn't have much time to chat.
He rocked a SilverBirch 2004 'Rauder, and said he had ~140k...

    Pleasant fella...
    Regards,

Yep, that's the place... and apparently the guy... a Hell of a lot younger than me (of course... I was the Bus Boy at The Last Supper... and that rotten Judas fella with the bag of silver didn't part with any for a tip)
Shaun chatted a bit about his 'Rauder, mentioning his cylinder #8 travails, among other experiences...
Sadly, I didn't have much time (nor did he) to rattle on about my "wannabe Marauder" Grand Marquis HPP.
Maybe I'll run into him (figuratively) again some time...
    Regards,
    Gene

It's honestly been awhile since I've been on here. Since the site got upgraded I've had problems getting on through my phone. (I'm at the library right now.) It was nice chatting with you PonyGuy. I would've stayed longer and BS'd some more, but my old lady was giving me some crazy looks, and I don't wanna make her angry. We literally just found out that day that she's pregnant. On top of that, we close on our new house on the 23rd. (Actually, it's almost a hundred years old.) So it's been a lil bit crazy n hectic for us here. The last thing she wants to hear about is my car. Especially when I'm talking about what I wanna do next to it.

    I hear ya, Shaun...
My wife and daughter were also squawking about me leaving them by themselves over at the tables in front of the restrooms... we were celebrating my wife's birthday with a McTreat, after an afternoon of shopping .

That said, CONGRATULATIONS on the forthcoming wee one... Give that little one the best possible gift: Unconditional love... and yourself.

We're "on the other side of that mountain," having eight grandkids... and should have had another... but...
    Regards,
    Gene

Congrats on the baby and the house man! Don’t worry about what to do next to your car. It’s already been fifteen years, painting it the proper black can wait awhile longer!

Ha! I'm just happy I have a garage to keep it in now. ****** snow! Plus I finally have a daily driver. A 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse with only 74,000 miles. It doesn't look bad from 5 feet away. Everything's coming up Milhouse!
