Ok guys. I hope someone can answer this question. I’m going to replace the low pressure cycling switch that’s located on the accumulator. I got the new switch and pigtail it requires. Only issue is, the factory switch using a 3 wire connector and the new switch only has two. What’s this about or how should I proceed?

How should this be spliced or am I missing something? I called Ford and they couldn’t even tell me. This is ridiculous

You cant.... Get a trinary switch...

The switch sends AC on info back to the PCM.

The electric fan will not kick into high when the AC is on without one...

Thanks for that piece of information. I don’t know what Ford got going on with this mess. I’ll be returning these things and getting my $70 back. Thanks again

Is there not a reliable automotive a/c shop in your area? Why are you wasting your time?

I have an 04 and it has 2 wires. Pic is from 04 manual
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Yes, but I’d really like to figure this out on my own. A shop is the last resort. I’m just like a majority of members here, I like to work on my own vehicle. Always have, unless I come to a point where I have to give up. If I can’t get the answers and solve the issue, I’ll take it to a shop. Thanks for your help. It’s greatly appreciated

When I did my Trilogy installl I couldnt figure out why my AC didnt work. I worked just fine before the install so I started troubleshooting and fdound I has the AC wiring harness backwards. The drier harness was pluged into the hot side near the header.

Dont judge me, it wasnt hard to mix up

Musclemerc for the freakin win!!!! I had no idea that these plugs would plug into both switches. Swapped the plugs and my compressor is now coming on... just wow!!! Isn’t that a rare occasion with Ford’s? I’ve worked on Mustangs for 20 years and usually the harness would only plug into one specific thing. Invective, this is why I try to work on my own vehicle if possible. With the help of this priceless forum and the very knowledgeable guys here, it’s hard to pay a shop for things like this. Just wow and shaking my head at the same time
