    Meh...
I think Alan Jackson did it better... and his video had actual Mercury cars in it... along with some cameos of Keith Urban in the background...

So I started with Steve's rendition, moved on to MeatLoaf's live performance with CC on back ups then Johnny Hiland's version which morphed into other YouTube videos of great guitarists ( not covering Mercury Blues) like Joe Bonamasa and John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughn.... until I looked up and find it's time to start the grill for dinner. Thanks for wasting my whole day!! ;-) I loved it!

No doubt about it! Now, SRV doing a version of 'Mercury Blues'.....'Honey Bee' came immediately to mind...'Couldn't Stand the Weather' CD alternates back and forth between the Mustang and Marauder.

Steve Miller's has always been my favorite, has a more sultry sound that makes you feel like you're slipping down the road smooth as silk. One of my favorite driving songs.

^^^I agree and I like the Steve Miller version alot but use Allen Jackson's as the ring tone for all my mm.net friends. It's snappier and gets my attention right away. ;-)
