Question Driving home from work my A/C just shut off, any ideas?

The EATC has power, it shows outside Temp, I can hear the compressor cycling on/off but I'm not getting any A/C or even VENT! Can anyone suggest trouble shooting steps I should take before taking her to the dealer? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

the ac compressor is the ac if its coming then the ac is coming on

i assume you mean by no ac or vent the air is blowing? that would be the blower motor not coming on which is usually is due to the blower motor resistor going bad

Some will tell you that if the blower motor speed control module (resistor) failed, then it should still work on full blast. The module increases ground resistance to slow the fan motor to slower speeds than full blast. But it depends on how the resistor failed. My fan wouldn't come on at all. Full blast, lower speeds, nothing. The module is a black box in the engine compartment mounted to the firewall, right next to the heater core supply and return hoses. a bit of a pain, but not too bad. Had to pop off one heater hose, only a few drops leaked out. Took about an hour.

Zero air comes through the dash vents regardless of which button I press, be it MAX A/C, Norm A/C or Vent decipha.

Sounds exactly like what is going on with my climate control, I'll have to look into replacing the resistor after running the ETAC self-test Agent2006.

    Try This First
Had same issue, was advised on this site to set for AC give the BCM (blower control module) a couple good smacks and on mine the blower came on, AC ran fine. did this until I got a new one and all is good now. Follow Agent2006'spost to locate it. Lot of members had luck with this, if works get & install one, only a temp solution & will fail. Good luck

Does it come thru any other vents, floor or defrost?

    Cool

Thank you everyone for your input, much appreciated !

It was a failed Blower Motor Control Module/Resistor. I got it replaced today at my friendly local Ford dealer and it's nice to have A/C again, especially since it was 92°F & humid today!
