    Hurricane

A Hurricane is not a uniform system of Wind, Rain and Storm Surge.

Wind, Rain and Storm Surge vary dramatically within a surprisingly small area.

    When in doubt evacuate.

Best of Luck to all being impacted.

    Hurricane

Where do You evacuate to? The highways are parking lots. Gas is scarce. The storm will follow You regardless. You're better off staying at home. I've been thru many storms to know to not listen to the media.

I evacuated for Katrina and I came back to help. You have absolutely no idea what I experienced and I hope you never do.

I stayed for Katrina and had the time of my life. Between swimming in the water, looting, taking baths outside in the rain and dealing with the high heat and humidity it was otherwise good times.

Afterwards I did gutting , roofing and various construction work... now that sucked.

btw, the first signs of relief I seen was two canadian police officers walking 'a-boat' my street handing out bottle water 'eh'.
