AC not blowing out of Vents intermittent

    Hi,
When I start the car and turn on the AC it is blowing out of the DEFROSTERS. When I switch to the FLOOR it does go there , but not too the VENTS, but after pushing the buttons on the unit it will eventually go to the VENTS. So I am thinking it is not an issue with the Blend door. Would this be that the EATC is going bad?

The washers in the EATC have most likely split. Replace them with silicone style. Lots of threads on how or you can get in touch with member fastblackmerc and he can do it for you for a nominal fee.

Run the eatc self test. Post results.. A defrost only is default mode for bad o rings.

Running the self test will not tell you if the o-rings are bad.

I can repair your EATC (including upgrading the button & fan lights to LED).

    PM me if interested.

Read this for a better understanding of the HVAC issues you might encounter.
