Rack & Pinion with EVO Valve - Where Can I Find These?

Hello all. Has anyone had any luck with finding a replacement for the EVO valve that goes into the rack & pinion? Mine and began to seep and would like to replace but haven't found a place that carries them. Can you remove the valve and just put a new rack on without the evo opening?

    Thanks

I had to purchase a rebuilt rack from a guy in Florida. Gm rack is not the same, but the part that went bad might be.

Is it just a mounting O-ring leak or out of the valve internals?

MGM has a different ratio. Best bet is to buy a used one or rebuild if you can't find a seal kit.
    The twins2.3 whipple/aluminatorVortech V-2 lots of goodies

not a different ratio, they have a different variable assistance curve

IIRC, the VAPS module in the Marauder can be reprogrammed between "Marauder" and "Base" using Forscan, I looked for this in my friends 04 Sport but didn't even see the same module listed. Theoretically you could use a 03-07 rack while keeping the Marauder VAPS module and it should keep the same feel. Haven't tried it, don't foresee a need to try it anytime soon.

i know Zack looked into reprogramming the ras/vaps module and ford says no. That would be neat if forscan could do it..
I remember reading the difference between the Mercury grand Marquis and the Mercury marauder having different a different ratio. I'll try and find it

When I have my black car back I'll have to go in and get a screenshot, both cars are 2hrs away and the black car is up in the air on a lift right now.

I just got a replacement rack for mine. I am having a hard time removing what i believe to be the EVO valve/sensor. I removed the little retainer washer and removed the valve but he nut below will not loosen. It turns a hair to left and right but no more than that. An ideas????? i need to swap to new rack.
