    Exclamation It's a KEEPER!

Recently several friends have said I should get a new car or have asked why I am keeping such an old car.

The Marauder is the most comfortable car and the easiest to drive car I have ever owned.

And I have used it for so many different things.

After Hurricane Katrina I lived in the Marauder for several weeks and used it as an office. I had an all in one machine on the back seat that numerous people used for copying and printing.

I have drag raced it ~300 times down the 1,320'.

Participated in numerous Car Shows and Cruise Ins.

Brought our children to school and to various functions.

Called on businesses all across South Louisiana.

I have met so many people that I would not have met.

How do you let go of all that?

that's my same dilemma. Its paid off, modified like I want, big, comfortable, safe, fast and works well as a professional business person car. Yet it is getting old. I'm still going to try to keep mine around.

Unless you're battling rust, it shouldn't be that hard. Parts are still widely available and cheap.

A little rus, its more the fact that there is always something to ix on it. Frustrates the wife and neither her or the kids like driving in it. I know many guys say "that's the point" but that means it is hardly used and is perceived as a waste of space. I have a ton of parts so that isn't the issue, that's actualy one of the reasons why I want to keep it. After the last two are out of college I'd like to repaint it and replace anything warn with all the NOS stuff I have. I'm not one that feels this car will ever be worth much, but I enjoy it for what it is so that is all that matters to me.

Are you referring to mine here?

It’s getting seriously hard to justify keeping it anymore with only putting on 1-2,000 miles a year (or less). If only I could stuff it into a closet...

I sey definitely keep it! I'm sure that your family would much rather have a "cool" Hellcat. Lol but who care's it's a car not a fashion show. If you like the marauder keep. Buy a minivan for your wife and kids see how they like driving that!

An hour ago I walked out of Home Depot and I hear my name.

He parks his car, jumps out leaving his family inside the car.

He ask - How are you? Then his next words are - Do you still have the Marauder?

Brandt and I worked together from 2002 until 2008. I haven't seen him in 11 years!!!

Maybe that's the good thing about having my "Zombie Marauder."...mine wouldn't fetch much $$$ anyway, yet brings lots of joy to me. So..mine is... NOT FOR SALE!
