    Question Trunk lid liner?

Aside the Car Motor Sports liners for the MM I'm wondering if the 2003+ GM or CV came with a liner in a package or as an option? I looked briefly online and didn't come across anything.

I took a 2005 town car trunk liner and modified it to work. I posted the how to once but cannot find it now.

Here is a picture. The grey's match.

Do you recall how you did it? How did you attach the liner to the underside of the trunk lid?

    Trunk lid liner?

I installed mine back in 2005. Won it at the MV III Raffle in Detroit. As I recall, I had to drill eight (8) 1/4 inch holes on the underside of the trunk lid and use the short 1 inch push pins to hold it in place. It has been there for nearly 15 years .... no problem. The holes are 2 top, 2 bottom, and 2 on each side. I used the liner itself to template the holes and align them with the raised portions of the trunk lid. Pretty sure that I used a Center Punch to create a starter divit and then used a 1/16 inch drill bit first and enlarged the hole with a 1/8 inch bit and finally the 1/4 inch size.

I was at a pick n pull about a year back and there was a aero GM and its trunk lid had a form fitting liner. I removed it and saw some differences than what the whale body had so I left it behind.

Hey Charlie, nice to see your still around. IIRC your liner is a Car Motor Sports. I may end up going that route if they still make them or get a custom liner from and upholsterer. Hope to see you Carlisle 2020.

I've looked at them at the junk yard and just wondered how much work it would take... Did you need to recover it or anything? I'm just bad at cutting a straight line lol

Could be a good weekend project

I just ordered 1 for MM & 1 for my Impala. I had emails from them in less than 24 hours to confirm colors and stuff.

Yes the website is clunky but they have been around for a long time and have been no problem to deal with when making orders.

I'm sure they are fine, just felt like a flashback to simpler times... Gonna try the junkyard route since parts are beyond cheap where I live, but ill probably order one for Christmas
