fastblackmerc, are you available to do an LCM in the next week or two? I can have it out and shipped before the weekend.
    Thank you.

Because FBM will do a better job repairing the existing LCM w/o butchering up all the under dash wiring Ford's fix does.

You obviously haven't seen the "fix" from Ford.

We’ve seen too many of the hacked up dealer repairs.

I’ve had FBM do countless repairs without a single issue.

    FBM wins hands down.

Hell, I never got a notification from them regardless; first I've heard of this. I can't imagine any MM's are still under warranty in any case, so if they were fixing it for free they never notified me. I recall it coming up a few years ago, but would rather trust Jim with the work anyway.

Was no joke I honestly had no clue that they were doing that type of hackery. I assumed they installed newer better designed LCM not bypass it. I've been getting the letter in the mail now for a couple years and have just ignored it since I hadn't had time to schedule it. Now that I know I will not be getting it done.

On a side note, I wired up a 30 amp relay from the alternator to the headlights (blue/white wire -runs to both side so I tapped in on the passenger side) and used the fog lamp wire (orange) as the trigger. When I turn my fog lamps on my headlights get noticeably brighter. Using a DMM I seen a 2 volt drop at the headlight connector with only the stock wiring. It made so much of a difference that I took the LEDs off and put halogens back in her.

Novice question, is the Marauder drivable w/o an LCM installed? I know the headlites and blinkers won't work, but what about brake lites? Does the computer put the car in limp mode or anything? I'm to old and crippled to remove mine and the kid at the dealer said he could remove it. Then I can send it to FBM, but I'd need to drive the car home till FBM sends the LCM back. Dealer is about 3 miles from my house.

Only lights you will have without the LCM is the brake lights which are on a separate circuit.

No headlights, no foglights, no turn signal, no instrument lights and no interior lights.

    Car will run normally.
