    Best oil for the Marauder

Coming up on an oil change and replacement of the oil filter adapter gasket for the Marauder. Has just over 46k on the odometer. What brand of oil do you recommend?

I run whatever full synthetic is on sale (usually Federated in-house brand) and use a decent filter. Motorcraft, Hastings, Wix, etc.
At the end of the day, it's a Ford 4.6 and they don't really need anything fancy.

Costco has Mobile 1 SYN. on sale often, and Walmat has the OEM filter. Can't really beat either price, or quality for the price.

oil brand doesnt really matter so long as its the correct 5w20 viscosity

but be sure to use a motorcraft filter only otherwise youll damage the timing chain tensioners due to lack of oil pressure on startup and develop a startup rattle if the oil filter you use doesnt have an anti drain back check valve as most aftermarkets do not.

My preference is Amsoil. They have been making high quality lubricants for years.

I use Peak 5W20 High Mileage. Says made in USA on it, if that matters. But my nephew buys generic O'reilly oil for his Fiesta and it also says made in USA.
