Another Eaton Swap and another VERY satisfied MO’s customer!

Picked up my 27K mile ‘04 from MO’s today... it’s amazing! Eaton swap and 4.10 rear gear... dyno’d at 413/434 to the wheels on 93 octane with a whole lot of torque down low (stock exhaust!). Also did Metco rear control arms, SS brake lines, and a couple other minor things.

Of course it was 34 degrees and raining/snowing, so I had to wait until I got further south for the roads to dry out before I could really juice it. As exhilarating as the throw-you-back-in-the-seat power is, what’s equally impressive is how tame the car is until you get on it... the wet roads were a non-issue. However, that will be the last time the car sees rain for a very long time.

It goes without saying that MO’s reputation is extremely well deserved. Great communication and customer service throughout the entire process... and of course the results speak for themselves. Big thanks to Marty, Jeff, Val and the rest the team!

Prior to the swap the only mods were a MO’s tune and a K&N CAI. I think Jeff did a “before dyno,” but amidst the excitement of picking up my car I forgot to ask. I would imagine it was around 260 rwhp. So yeah, the Eaton swap added ~150 rwhp and all that torque low in the power band. Coupled with the 4.10 gear, it delivers a serious kick. Nothing like a full-size car that’s light on it’s feet!

I cannot emphasize enough how informative this site was/is. I probably would not have a MM, much less an Eaton swap and 4.10 gear installed/tuned by the best speed shop in the country.
