Electric cars outsell stick-shifts in 2019

Now there's a depressing article for a gear throwing old fart like myself. Interesting idea about a stick-shift electric though.

    Been driving since 1988, I've always had a manual transmission truck... can't even count how many S-10's, then a 1991 1500 4x4 5 speed, and currently a 2000 4.8, 4x4, 5 speed Silverado... On the lookout for a 2007 Silverado 4.8, 4x4, 5 speed... 07 was the last year for GM and a manual in a 1500....

It's gotten to where a manual transmission is a good THEFT DETERRENT since most of today's "KIDS" have no clue!!

Two years ago my 17 year old put more permit time behind the wheel of the stick Marauder than any of the automatics in our small fleet combined.

Of course he currently owns a 5sp Ranger 4X4 and wants absolutely zero to do with automatics..

I for one wouldn’t mind changing back LOL.
