Honestly not trying to spend 330... being that their indestructible ill rather buy a used 1 for 1-$140. Or a new JLT for half that price

    What-you-already-have ...
    .
    • the OEM air input system is already CAI.
      • inlet air is drawn from outside of the engine bay *under the LH headlight thru the header panel.
      • the airbox is sealed to prevent engine bay heated air from being drawn-in.
      • the system is made of plastic which minimizes heat transfer and/or heat sink.
    • the OEM air input system is MORE than adequite to provide air flow.
    • ANY CFM increase comes at the expense of air filtration. MEANING: less.
    • oiled air filters may/will/do contaminate the MAF sensor. MEANING: lower power as well as MPG

IIRC the OEM CAI was designed by Roush. It flows well. It looks boring.

None of that was included in your original post.

Could always add a bit of nostalgic panache ...

I went with the K&N on both cars. Never looked back. A little noisier under hard throttle than stock, but I like the sound.

In order to run a real CAI on a marauder it requires cutting the opening and hacking up the front of the car for a larger cold air inlet pipe to be installed where the air silencer goes.

^^^ I like to think of it as a very selective removal of material off the front of the car.
